Jail Outreach Ministry
 
Dr. Ophelia Beier started as Director of the Jail Outreach Ministry for the Evangel Temple Assembly of God. She ministers at the Florida Flagler County Correctional Inmate Facility and Volusia County Correctional Inmate Facility. Many inmates have been saved and turned their lives to God under this powerful anointed woman of God.

Jail ministry is a mission field opportunity, second to none, in our community.  The women have been removed from society and are awaiting a court hearing to be sentenced.  At this point of their incarceration, most are literally "on their face in tears" devastated, scared, ashamed, and remorseful.  This is the perfect opportunity to offer hope, love and restoration through Jesus Christ!  Matthew 25:36 [I was] Naked and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

However, let me make this very clear:  this great privilege requires great responsibility! Following proper jail procedures and taking them seriously is the number one requirement for jail volunteers. Otherwise, our Christian witness and ministry will be placed in jeopardy and you may lose the opportunity!

A typical Jail Worship Service includes the following materials:

Scripture Lesson: We print a several page hand-out used by the inmates for the Worship/Bible Service plus additional Bible study notes for their quiet time in the days ahead.

Praise and Worship: Inmates and prison minister get together for praise, worship, and testimonies.

Sermon: Prepared sermons.

Our vision is to reach many lost souls for Christ by teaching his Gospel. We want to be able to get into more of the local prisons and expand the number of our people getting into the ministry as God leads and provides the opportunities.

Our goal is to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ through a variety of outreached and to maximize the God-given gifts of Edward and Ophelia Beier, always endeavoring to find new, innovative ways to help the hurting.  By faith and God's grace, we will reach every nation...every city...every day...through the spoken and written Word.  We desire to make available to as many people as possible, tools of spiritual growth in their own language.

Best of all, every outreach is so much more than good deeds and kind charity (though it is that as well). All is being done in the name of Jesus Christ as God's love in action, since each mission is an important part of our greater desire to see lives changed for all eternity.
 
We are a Helps Outreach Ministry:
 

Essentially, the Greek definition for the word "Helps" used in 1 Corinthians 12:28 is, "rendering practical aid and support."

God has set certain ministries in the Church to fulfill one primary function: to serve in a supportive role. Helps and Governments were instituted by God to do just that. They are supportive ministries (Landsman: 6).

The Ministry of Helps is a distinct ministry listed with many other ministry gifts in 1 Corinthians 12:28. We must recognize that it is a uniquely anointed, and appointed, ministry.

As you give to Ophelia Beier Ministries, you play an enormous part in reaching out in love to a hurting world.  With your help, we are using the internet and newsletters to reach millions with the truth of God's Word.  As partners and supports of the Children of Light World Center, you are helping to reach prisoners, orphans, poor, rich, boy, girl young or old, believers and unbelievers of this world to receive God's Light in their daily lives.  Our desire to continually look for opportunities to help God's hurting children, people filled with depression, anxiety, trauma, and darkness is increasingly being expressed through our words and deeds.
